The new Ford Mondeo looks set to be an absolute cracker if online shots are anything to go by, and we have broken down some of the highlight reel for the next generation Ford Mondeo below.
In terms of the design you can expect the production version to be close in style to the concept first seen by the world at the Frankfurt motor show. Expected to be released by 2013 the new Ford Mondeo is expected to be a class leader for its stylish looks and jaw dropping design.
One of the main factors that really makes this cars visual appearance seem so appealing is the oversized (some might say) front grille that has been moved much to a higher position. The Mondeo badge has also been moved to the front bonnet. The stylish slit eyed headlamps are expected to make it into full production also.
Expect a wide range of EcoBoost petrol engines and 2.0 TDCi models with greater fuel efficiency than before, the powertrain from the C-Max Energi concept car, which debuted in Detroit this year, is again anticipated to be deployed. It combines a range-extending 2.0-litre petrol engine alongside an electric motor to deliver in excess of 500 miles between fill-ups, and zero-emissions range of around 50 miles.
As ever we expect nothing less than stellar car safety and the new Ford Mondeo will be packed with features designed to prevent road traffic accidents and ensure that there is also a reduction in car accident claims.
