The 2011 Porsche 911 Gt3 Cup racer has been through an enhancement process that is aimed at making the sports car more “suitable for an even wider range of endurance racing” according to Porsche
One of the key changes that are being delivered are the inclusion of a 100 litre FT3 fuel safety tank, which allows re-fuelling via an opening on the Porsche front bonnet.
The Porsche 911 Gt3 will also be blessed with 18 inch alloys and Michelin tyres as standard and a new custom set of roll bars, than can be tweaked in 7 ways to allow for more variation dependant upon track conditions.
The new Porsche 911 Gt3 will retain the same 3.8 litre flat six engine and the ceramic breaking system deployed on the Mobil 1 and Super-cup designations.
When sat side by side with the road models however the new car will see further weight loss, coming onto the scales at around 1200 kilogrammes. This along with new big spoilers will add greater grip and down-force to the already superb profile of the car.
The car boasts an impressive pedigree and is based on the Gt3 rs road going version, the most popular race car based on worldwide sales.
Delivery may commence from September.
Once again we celebrate the superb engineering feat that Porsche have achieved in the production of this car, and as ever we would caution all drivers of high power vehicles to drive safely and help to reduce the risk of accidents and prevent the need for anyone to have to make a car accident claim.
Prices start from £141,800 plus VAT.
